Soon To Be Launched Audi A5 Sportback Spied Testing In Mumbai
Audi India has plans to become the top luxury car manufacturer in the country once again. Recently, the German-based manufacturer launched its all-new R8 V10 Plus model in the presence of its brand ambassador, Virat Kohli.
Surprisingly, now the 2017 edition of A5 Sportback was caught testing in Navi Mumbai. Audi India was recently reported to have imported the A5 Sportback a while ago. The on-road testing has commenced and its launch could be expected soon.
Powering the spied A5 Sportback is a 1968cc diesel engine. The engine produces 187.40bhp, along with 400Nm of peak torque. For the Indian market, the engine will most likely to be mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
Once the Audi A5 Sportback is launched in India, it will compete with BMW and Mercedes. The expected pricing of 2017 A5 Sportback is Rs. 50 lakh to Rs. 65 lakh ex-showroom. We believe Audi India could launch the vehicle by 2016-end or early 2017.
