Aston Martin And Letv Reveal The AutoLink Rapide S At CES 2016
British luxury sports car manufacturer Aston Martin and technology company Letv reveal their first result of their collaboration, the Aston Martin Rapide S. The latest version of the Rapide will incorporate the latest Letv Internet of the Vehicle (IOV) system. Recently, Aston Martin and Letv signed a memorandum of understanding to confirm the research projects that include the development of connected electric vehicles and consultation on manufacturing future electric vehicles.
The engineering project of the brand new Aston Martin Rapide S was led by the Letv team. The new car will sport a bespoke center console and instrument panel. The center console will now be a 13.3 inch HD touch screen and the instrument panel will be a 12.2 inch TFT screen incorporating the instrumentation and gauges.
Aston Martin's own Human-Machine Interaction (HMI) technology will also get a treatment by Letv to integrate an updated speech recognition system. The Rapide S concept has been engineered to work with Letv's other devices and it will also include remote monitoring and services with the help of the vehicle's Wi-Fi system.
Aston Martin is renowned for beautifully hand-crafted cars. The integration of Letv advanced connected technologies will be a natural progression for the car manufacturing pioneer.
