Aston Martin DB11 Set To Come To India — Launch Details Revealed
British supercar maker Aston Martin is all set to launch its new flagship supercar, the DB11, in India during the festive season.
According to ZigWheels, the new DB11 is set to land on Indian tarmac in the month of October.
The Aston Martin DB11 was unveiled by the British carmaker earlier this year at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in March.
The new DB11 replaces the DB9 as James Bond's company car and it heralds a new era in the British marque's story.
The new DB11 is the start of a new Turbo era for Aston martin as it switches to turbocharging to comply with new emission norms.
The DB11 is powered by a brand new 5.2-litre twin turbo V12 engine that pushes out 600bhp and 700Nm of torque. This makes the DB11 the most powerful 'DB' car Aston has ever produced.
All that power and torque is sent to the rear wheels through an 8-speed automatic gearbox from ZF.
The DB11 will sprint from 0-100km/h in just 3.9 seconds and will keep on accelerating till it tops out at 322km/h (200m/h).
The new DB11 has three driving modes:GT, Sport and Sport+, which can be selected by flicking a switch.
Aston has already imported a single unit of the DB11 into India and this car will be showed off to prospective buyers at invite-only events in major cities across the country.
The reason for all the pomp and circumstance, the price. The DB11 is expected to be priced at Rs. 4.5 crore ex-showroom, which would make its a whole crore more expensive than the DB9.
