Aston Martin to Launch DB11 Volante Before Spring 2018
The Aston Martin is about to launch a new soft-top called DB11 Volante. The car's official reveal date is before "Opening Spring 2018". The car is still in its testing phase.
The Volante will have the same 5.2-litre twin turbo V12 engine as in the DB11 coupe. The engine is capable of producing 600bhp and 700Nm of torque. The power goes to the rear wheel through an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission.
Despite having a soft-top, the DB11 Volante will be heavier than it's sibling. The coupe weighs about 1,800 kg, so the Volante will weigh close to 2 tonnes. We can expect it do a sprint from 0-100 km/h under 5 seconds and a top whack of 322 km/h.
From the three images of DB11 Volante, the car shares the same styling features as the hard-top. The same flowing body lines, C-shaped rear lights and distinctive vents on the front. There are no images showing the front of the car but we expect the nose to be similar to the coupe.
On the inside, we can expect the same luxuriously-upholstered interior as the coupe. If Aston Martin is able to add a few more updates before it hits the showroom, just to keep it fresh.
