Aston Martin has unveiled the ultimate collectible wings that were used in the V8 Vantage GTEs competing in the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). These wings are up for sale as a limited edition set.
But only 250 units of these collectible wings will be produced for worldwide sale. The wings are framed and it includes all nine WEC wing badges mounted on a white background.
For added authenticity, each case will be numbered. Each wing will feature the national colours of that particular WEC round. Aston Martin Racing competed in the entire 2016 season.
Each wing is handcrafted in Birmingham's state of the art Jewelry Quarter which is established by renowned manufacturer Vaughtons.
It takes 20 hours to manufacture each enamelled wing and it is created using the state of the art CAD equipment and jewelry making machinery which dates back over 120 years.
This year's World Endurance Championship will come to an end at next week's title decider in Bahrain on Saturday 19th November, as Aston Martin will be competing in GT series.
The Danish drivers Marco Sørensen and Nicki Thiim are leading the GT Drivers and GTE Pro championship in their V8 Vantage GTE. Aston Martin Racing is also competing for the overall manufacturer's championship.
