Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Sets A Lap Record While Blindfolded
Lapping the Silverstone circuit is normal but doing while blindfolded takes some crazy amounts of courage.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio has its target set on the BMW M3 and the Audi RS4 along with Merc C63 AMG and to mark its entry onto the Britsh Isles, the Italian carmaker sent its super sedan to lap around the Silverstone circuit.
To ensure that the driver, Ed Morris, the youngest Briton to race at the Le Mans 24 Hours didn't crash he was guided by another driver David Brise.
Brise followed behind the blinded Giulia Quadrifoglio and gave instructions to Morris over the radio.
Morris lapped Silverstone in 1:43:15, which may not seem like much but it did match the 1:44 set by F1 driver Nino Farina 65 years ago in the British Grand Prix which at the time, was a lap record.

Helping to make the model so fast is its twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 engine delivering 503 hp, a perfect 50/50 weight distribution and torque vectoring.
