Skoda Reveals The Interior Of The Octavia Facelift
The facelifted Octavia was revealed a week ago, but there’s more to the upcoming car than just new headlamps.
Since its reveal last week, the facelifted Octavia is already in the limelight because of its new split headlight design, but there's more to the car than just new headlamps.
Skoda has made a significant amount of changes in the interior where there's now ambient lighting featured on the Style and L&K variants.
It's concealed within the decorative strip on the doors and is available in ten colour options.
The Ambition variant now features a new black and brown interior and a jet-black instrument cluster, while the other variants have also received minor changes.
Skoda even reshaped the bottle holders in the center console so that they now interlock with the bottom of PET bottles, so that the driver and front passenger can open them with only one hand.
Another useful feature is the optional folding table. Also, the trunk of the Octavia Combi now comes with a removable LED flashlight similar to the Superb Combi.
An option of a customizable key that saves the driver's seat position, infotainment settings, assistance systems, climate control, driving profile selection, and even the exterior and interior lighting, will also be seen on the upcoming Octavia.
The major upgrade in the interior is the new infotainment system. the car features an 8-inch or 9.2-inch touchscreen system that can support Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto allowing the owner to access the car's data straight through his smartphone.
The Octavia facelift will also feature an optional wireless charging function.
Globally, Skoda is expected to start taking orders for the Octavia before the year's end, with deliveries starting in early 2017. A few months later, we expect the car to make its way to the Indian market.
