Nissan has released a teaser of the all-new 2017 Micra ahead of its debut in the upcoming 2016 Paris Motor Show. Gone are the smooth lines and curves, here is a sharper looking Micra that is very much close the 2015 Sway concept.
The previous generation Micra was thoughtful, reliable, frugal and a sensible compact hatchback. However, the new Micra throws away all those aspects and here is a bold, sharp and butch looking Micra. Rivals like VW Polo, the Ford Fiesta, the Peugeot 208 and the brand new Citroen C3 should worry about the new Micra.
Nissan has teased us with a couple of photos and not more than that except for the brief video revealing the front and the rear design. Apart from it, there is not much the Japanese company has revealed. From some of the spy pics of the Micra being tested suggests that it could come with a rear spoiler, and hidden door handles.
The new Nissan Micra will be based out of the CMF-B platform which is also the base for the next Nissan Juke. As for under the hood, we expect a three or a four cylinder engine to power the all-new Micra with better fuel efficiency. The 2016 Paris Motor Show will reveal more of the new Micra. Stay tuned to DriveSpark for updates.
