Ahead of the launch on August 23, 2016, the sixth-generation Hyundai Elantra has been spotted at a dealership. By the looks of it, the new Hyundai Elantra looks promising and could give a good fight in the sedan segment.
Spotted at the dealership was the SX variant in silver colour, the sedan is sharper and has moved away from the 2.0 Fluidic Design language that Hyundai has followed in their models.
The new 2017 model Hyundai Elantra will be powered by the choice of two engine formats, a 2.0-litre four cylinder, Dual VTVT petrol mill that will produce 148bhp of power and 190Nm of torque.
Also available is the 1.6-litre four-cylinder CRDi diesel engine which develops 124bhp and 265Nm of torque.
As for the gearbox, choice of 6-speed manual and an automatic transmission will be offered by Hyundai. The South Korean automaker will offer the new Elantra in five variants: S, SX, SX AT, SX(O), and SX(O) AT.
The sixth-generation Elantra from Hyundai features LED taillights, projector headlamps with DRLs, 16-inch alloy wheels, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, auto climate control, and electric seats.
Prices of the 2017 Hyundai Elantra will be announced at the time of launch on August 23, 2016.
