The New-Generation Maruti Suzuki Swift Will Look Like This
Recently, the test mule of the upcoming new generation Maruti Suzuki Swift was spotted and the launch looks imminent.
Many renderings have been floating on the internet and this rendering comes closer to the test mule of the 2017 Swift.
The next-gen Swift from Maruti Suzuki is sharper than its predecessor on the front and rear profile. It has the silhouette of the outgoing Swift yet the new Swift is modern and sporty.
The headlamps are angular and a large hexagonal grille makes up the front profile of the new Swift. On the image, we see body kits for the front, side and rear profile upping the quotient of sportiveness.
In India, the new Swift might not be offered with the body kit and the dual diffuser seen on the rear bumper of the rendered image. Solely because of the pricing factor which is competitive in India.
Since the new Swift will be based on the new-age platform seen on the Baleno, it is expected to be lighter, which could make the hatchback efficient and powerful as well.
Under the hood, India might get the 1.2-litre and the 1.3-litre diesel mill for the new 2017 Swift. However, the 1.0-litre Booster Jet engine could make its way to the Swift and could be offered as Sports model along with the body kits.
Taking care of the gearbox will be the 5-speed manual gearbox and the possibility of a CVT or an automatic gearbox to set it apart from its rivals.
On the inside, the 2017 new Swift will get a touch screen infotainment system and will share most of the features from the Baleno.
It is expected to be launched in India during the mid-2017 and is could be showcased at the 2016 Paris Motor Show.
