Ever had a dilemma about what colour to choose for your car? With the new Lexus LIT IS Sedan, you can choose any colour, design, and even animation on the body of the car.
Instead of the conventional paint, the company has equipped the car with 41,999 LEDs that turn the car into a screen capable of broadcasting dynamic graphics and videos.
The car, which was designed to feature in UK artist Dua Lipa's new music video song "Be the One." In the video, the LIT IS is featured as a character in a story as Dua's 'ex'.
The car is the brainchild from the collaboration between Lexus and Vevo. The music video showcases the Lexus LIT IS as a work of art, technology and design.
To create the LIT IS, Lexus hand-applied the LEDs to turn the vehicle into a screen. The LIT IS can also generate different animations in response to human gestures and music.
The car produces 175,000 lumens when all its LEDs are illuminated, and the total length of LED strips used would stretch half a mile. The LIT will also have three distinct modes that allow the car to interact with people's gestures in its vicinity.
The Attract mode on the car will feature a loop of colourful graphics. The Music Viz mode will help the LEDs will create responsive display that sync to the music you play and the Gesture mode will enable the LED animations to be controlled by users' hand gestures.
