The new Ford EcoSport which will hit Indian shores by early next year has been spotted in Brazil which will get the first taste of the compact SUV.
From the spy images, the new EcoSport does not carry any major changes, in fact, it has been retained the same as the old EcoSport. The camouflage on the EcoSport is seen only in the front and rear profile.
The test mule of the EcoSport suggests, it will come with new headlamps, larger front grille and it carries a lot of styling from its elder sibling, the Ford Endeavour. As for the dimension, the new facelifted EcoSport will remain the same sub-four-metre compact SUV.
On the inside, the facelifted EcoSport is expected to feature new infotainment system and minor changes in terms of the interior design.
Many suggest that the new EcoSport will be powered by Ford's new naturally aspirated petrol engine that is expected to punch out 131bhp of power from the 1.5-litre engine.
As for India will get, the facelifted EcoSport will be available in a 1.5-litre diesel engine, a 1.5-litre petrol unit and the famed 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine.
Ford EcoSport's main rival is Maruti Vitara Brezza and Ford will look to price the EcoSport competitively. Maruti too will be launching the petrol model during this year's festive season and we expect the 1.0-litre booster jet petrol engine.
The price of the new facelifted EcoSport will be in the range of Rs. 6 to 9.5 lakh in India and it will be available early next year.
