Hyundai has revealed its Creta facelift and Honda HR-V was also showcased at the Sao Paulo Auto Show. Ford could have countered these models if the EcoSport facelift had been unveiled.

The 2017 Ford EcoSport was being tested in the Brazilian conditions from March 2016 and a Fiesta-based crossover is also being tested in the USA, China and Europe.

The Ford EcoSport received major updates in 2015 after the launch edition was not so successful for the Blue Oval in Europe.
