Williams Martini Racing Gets Technology Partnership From BT
The Formula One championship is just around the corner and all teams are going through their final preparations. Williams Martini Racing has announced its strategic partnership with BT to accelerate team communications.
British Telecommunications will offer its high performance network services globally. They will also provide high speed communication, which will be secure and effective. BT will host the communication in cloud and will then deliver it globally to various devices.
Gavin Patterson, chief executive, BT, expressed, "It's really exciting to be joining forces with Williams. Both BT and Williams have an illustrious history of competing successfully at the top with cutting edge technology. This is the beginning of a real partnership with two great British brands determined to win as a team on the world stage."
Sir Frank Williams, team principal, Williams Martini Racing, commented, "Williams and BT share a number of synergies that have been the driver for establishing a formal partnership. British Telecommunication branding will be on the headrest of Williams Mercedes race car. It will also be seen of their team hospitality and garage area. The team has retained their faith in both their drivers Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas, who will continue racing in the 2015 championship.
The Formula One season opener is will be held in Melbourne, Australia between 13th to 15th of March, 2015. The Williams F1 Racing team has shown great are pace and it will be interesting to see, who wins the season opener in Australia.
