VW Golf R Sells Out In 11 Hours

German carmaker Volkswagen opened the order for booking the Volkswagen Golf R at 12:01 am and managed to sell out by 10:30 am in America.

500 units of the Golf R were available to pre-order as the first lot and was wiped out in less than 11 hours since bookings opened.

The German carmaker's page currently shows that the car is currently unavailable. Like an electronic store giving away stuff for half price!

Not all hope is lost though, as there could still be a possibility to own one of the first 500 VW Golf R. One can sign up a waiting list, hoping one of the customers will cancel the order. VW customer care will notify people if there is an opening or an order cancellation.

The entire first lot of the Golf R will come in a Lapis Blue Metallic shade, adaptive damper system, navigation, a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox and a few more.

To further make this special, VW will give the customers a few goodies like a watch, key chain and a certificate with their vehicle's VIN.

The Golf R costs USD 39,090, and the company will charge an additional USD 820 for shipping and delivery charges. But a refundable USD 500 was all that was need to reserve VW Golf R online.
