Volvo S60 Cross Country will be launching in the Indian market by early 2016. The Swedish manufacturer is taking the Indian market seriously and wants to capitalize on the boom in the luxury segment in the country.
Currently, the Volvo S60 sedan is sold in India, and is offered in petrol and diesel engines. The S60 Cross Country will be based on the sedan model and will provide better ground clearance. The S60 Cross Country will have an astounding ground clearance of 1,549mm. This will be the first time a sedan will have off-roading capabilities.
As always safety will be given top priority in all their vehicles. Volvo S60 Cross Country will feature ABS with EBA, tyre pressure monitoring system, intelligent driver information system, dynamic stability & traction control, cornering lights, active bending lights, and much more.
The Volvo S60 sedan was showcased at 2015 Detroit Motor Show and will be an excellent addition for the Indian market. Internationally Volvo offers their S60 Cross Country as an all-wheel drive model. In India, we expect the Swedish manufacturer to offer similar engine options.
Pricing for Indian market has not been revealed so far. However, we expect the Volvo S60 Cross Country to cost higher than their regular sedan. The Swedish manufacturer is also expected to take a decision on the local assembly of their products soon.
