Volvo India Appoint New Managing Director, Tom von Bonsdorff
Volvo has recently launched two of its products in India, which are the V40 Cross Country and XC90 premium luxury SUV. They have realised the importance of Indian market and want a share too.
Volvo Cars India has appointed a new Managing Director to take the brand to the next level. Tom von Bonsdorff will be replacing Tomas Ernberg, who will be moving to Sweden to take on a new role in the company.
Tom von Bonsdorff, Managing Director, Volvo Auto India commented, "India as a market holds great promise being one of the fastest growing markets for Volvo."
He further added, "An array of recent launches - XC90, V40 Cross Country Petrol including soon to be launched V40 and S60 T6 Petrol will add a positive thrust to the brand presence in India."
With the appointment of a new Managing Director, Volvo India's goal is for him to strengthen their brand image in the market. It will also be his duty to explore the options of local assembly in the country.
