Volkswagen Vento Cup Begins On 7th August In Coimbatore
Volkswagen India has been organising racing events in the country since 2010, along with JK Tyre National Racing Championship. They have now decided to up the ante with new cars and more power.
2015 season will witness the introduction of the Volkswagen Vento Cup, which will replace Polo Cup in India. It continues to be a one-make racing championship and is expected to be more competitive.
Here are the technical specifications of race prepped Vento by VW:
- Engine: 1.4-litre TSI
- Horsepower: 177.46
- Torque: 250Nm
- Gearbox: 6-speed DSG
All Volkswagen models participating in the Vento Cup will adhere to strict standards set by the FIA. Each vehicle will have a roll-cage, fire extinguisher, racing seat, six-point harness, and many more safety features.
Round one begins in Coimbatore at Kari Motor Speedway on 7th to 9th of August, 2015. The 2015 season will have four rounds to declare the first Volkswagen Vento Cup Champion.
