Volkswagen Ship 1,00,000th Vento To Mexico From Indian Facility
Volkswagen has their manufacturing unit setup in Chakan, Pune. They have been producing four-wheelers for Indian as well as export markets.
The German automobile manufacturer has now achieved a milestone by shipping their 1,00,000th Vento model. This sedan has been shipped to Mexico and is a red Vento with a 1.6-litre MPI engine under the hood.
Carsten Goransch, Executive Director - Logistics, Volkswagen India, expressed, "Highest Quality is in the DNA of Volkswagen around the world. We, in Pune have been building world class cars which have resulted in high demand for our products in the global market.
He further added, "The 1,00,000th car that we have shipped to Mexico today is a testimony to this fact. It makes us all at the Pune Plant extremely proud of what we have achieved so far."
VW India has been exporting both the Vento sedan and Polo hatchback to over 32 countries. At Chakan facility German based manufacturer is producing right and left-hand-drive vehicles for different markets.
The Indian Government is currently promoting ‘Make in India' and Volkswagen is making the most of this. It is great news as Volkswagen India is matching quality and safety standards to its international manufacturing facilities.
