Volkswagen Planning On Bringing Back New Passat & Beetle To India
Volkswagen is currently not doing very well in the Indian market. At recent motor shows the German manufacturer showcased its new Passat as well as several Beetle concepts.
Now the German manufacturer plans on bringing back both these models to India. The Passat had been discontinued in Indian markets due to low sales, while Beetle was an exclusive car that did not have many buyers.
They are also planning to introduce the Tiguan SUV and new Vento sedan in India. Volkswagen will be spreading out these product launches across a span of two years.
Both products Passat and Beetle will be brought to India via the Completely Built Unit (CBU) route. Volkswagen is most likely to re-launch these two models during 2016.
The German automobile giant will also be introducing two all-new products to capitalize on the growing Indian market. Volkswagen is currently developing a compact SUV and compact sedan for India.
Volkswagen India currently has on offer the Polo, Cross Polo, Vento and Jetta. With the inclusion of new products the German manufacturer is hoping to boost its sales figures significantly.
