Volkswagen Inaugurate Regional Parts Distribution Centre In Bangalore
German automobile manufacturer has inaugurated its new Regional Parts Distribution Centre. Volkswagen India wants to strengthen its position within the growing nation.
This new Regional Parts Distribution Centre by Volkswagen is in Bangalore. They will insure delivery of parts within a day anywhere in South of India.
Volkswagen has begun work back in July, 2014 and within ten months has constructed the Part Distribution Centre. They have strategically chosen Bangalore to take care of customers in South India.
Berndt A Buchmann, Director of Group After Sales and Vehicle Logistics, commented, "Our new PDC in Bangalore is strategically important for us as South India contributes to around 30 percent of parts' sales in the country."
He further added, "With this facility in Bangalore we will be able to increase the efficiency of our After Sales, to improve the delivery of urgent spare parts to our dealers within 24 hours and furthermore to take the quality of service to our customers to a new level"
The German company has invested over INR 30 crore in infrastructure, racks, office and IT equipment. Volkswagen Group Sales India will hire 80 efficient and qualified employees.
