Volkswagen India has inaugurated it's very first Express Service Centre in Coimbatore. The Express Service Centre has the capacity to service over 2,500 vehicles per month. The facility boasts of 44 service bays along with a parking bay for 75 vehicles.
Coimbatore is the first to receive the new Express Service Centre in India. Volkswagen plans on introducing similar outlets in Gurgaon and Chennai. The Express Service Centre will offer Volkswagen customers quick service without any hassles.
Express Service Centre will have a waiting lounge for vehicle owners. No additional charges will be applied to Volkswagen customers opting the Express Services. Customers will be paying the same amount that was applicable for regular vehicle services.
Internationally, Volkswagen introduced the concept of Express Service Centre during 2011. Volkswagen Group is slowly yet steadily setting up more Express Service Centres across the globe in an attempt to improve the after-sales experience.
At Volkswagen, Express Service Centre mechanics would provide basic checkups. Service officials will provide battery checkups, vehicle washing, tyre rotation, along with oil and filter replacements. All these services will be provided in a speedy manner to reduce vehicle duration at the service facility.
Toyota and Ford offer a similar service option to Indian customers. Ford Quick Lane and Toyota's 60 Minute Express Service is already functioning in India. So far, Volkswagen Express Service Centre in India has not revealed service duration, however, internationally work is completed within 90 minutes.
