Volkswagen Compact Sedan To Be Launched In India By 2016
Compact sedans are a growing trend in India and every manufacturer wants to enter this segment. Volkswagen India will also be entering the compact sedan by 2016.
Volkswagen will be developing this compact sedan exclusively for Indian conditions and market. It has also been confirmed that the new model will be priced above INR 5,00,000 ex-showroom.
The German manufacturer will join tough competitors in the Indian compact sedan segment. Volkswagen will have to compete with Maruti Suzuki, Honda, Hyundai, Tata and Ford with their Swift Dzire, Amaze, Xcent, Zest and Figo Aspire respectively.
Volkswagen currently introduced facelifted versions of their existing offerings in India. They are also planning on introducing their Passat and Beetle models in India once again.
German manufacturer is confident that their new offerings will attract buyers in India. Currently the manufacturer is not doing as expected in the Indian market.
Currently Volkswagen India's goal is to expand their presence in India, by inaugurating more showrooms in the country. Their products are of top quality and will attract buyers soon to safer vehicles.
