Vinod Dasari Named SIAM President

Vinod Dasari, the Managing Director of Ashok Leyland has been named the new President of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).

He was serving as the Vice President of the body since 2013.

The decision was taken at the annual general meeting that took place on Wednesday. He succeeds Vikram Kirloskar of Toyota Kirloskar Motor who was the President.

Arvind Saxena, the President and Managing Director of General Motors (GM) has been named the Vice President of SIAM, while Kenichi Ayukawa, the Managing Director of Maruti Suzuki takes the role of the treasurer.
