Uber Taxi Service Now Present In 18 Cities Across India
Private taxi service is on a constant increase in major Indian cities. Currently there are a few app-based taxi services and almost equal amount of radio-based taxi services in the country.
Uber is one such app-based taxi service that is steadily being adopted by many commuters. Now on 2nd of July, 2015 they expanded their services to several new cities in India.
They will now be operating in 18 cities across India and will be a popular choice for many. Uber is offering three free rides to new users till 15th July, 2015 by using Promo Code ‘INDIA18'.
Neeraj Singhal, Head of Expansion for India & the Subcontinent, Uber, said, "We're thrilled to launch Uber in these 7 new cities, marking the start of the next chapter in our journey in India."
He further added, "Our data already shows that residents and visitors in each of these new cities have been eagerly waiting for Uber for sometime now and we expect to see a similar response here."
Uber has confirmed that India is the second biggest market for them after United States. The seven new locations are Bhubaneswar, Coimbatore, Indore, Mysore, Nagpur, Surat and Visakhapatnam.
