Top 10 Selling Cars In June 2015
It's time now to take a look at the top 10 car models that were sold last month, compared to that of the previous year.
Many new models and face lifted ones were launched during this time. Some models immediately caught the attention of customers while some did not and a few have just been in that list for a very long time.
So, compared to June 2014, how did cars do in terms of sales in June 2015? Let's take a look at top 10 selling cars this June.
10. Hyundai Eon:
At the bottom of the list is the Eon, manufactured by the South Korean carmaker Hyundai. 5,313 units were sold last month, compared to 6,579 units that were sold in 2014.
9. Honda Amaze:
The Honda Amaze comes in at the ninth position, having sold 6,834 units last June, compared to 7,075 units that were sold in June 2014. The Amaze has seen a drop of 3.4 percent in sales.
8. Honda City:
The Honda City takes the eighth position. Being Honda's best seller, the company sold 7,187 units in June. That is a drop in sales of 6.9 percent, since 7,723 units were sold in June 2014.
7. Maruti Suzuki Celerio:
At number seven is the Maruti Suzuki Celerio, which has seen a rise in sales compared to June 2014. Last June, 8,078 units were sold, while only 4,878 units were sold in June 2014.
6. Hyundai Elite i20:
At number six is the Elite i20 by Hyundai. This model has managed to sell 8,706 units last June and continues to be one of the best sellers for Hyundai.
5. Hyundai Grand i10:
The Hyundai Grand i10 takes the number 5 spot selling 8,970 units, while maintaining the same position compared to June 2014, when it sold 7,901 units.
4. Maruti Suzuki Wagon R:
At number 4 is the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R. Sales has actually dropped 22.8 percent compared to June 2014. The car managed to sell 13,221 units last June, compared to 17,119 units it sold in June 2014.
3. Maruti Suzuki Swift:
Taking the third position is the Maruti Suzuki Swift. The Swift has seen an increase in sales, having sold 17,313 units in June 2015, compared to selling 16,632 units in June 2014.
2. Maruti Suzuki Alto:
Being the best seller for a long time, the Alto is forced to take the second place because sales has dropped by 30.7 percent, compared to June 2014. In June 2015, the Alto racked up sales of only 21,115 units.
1. Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire:
Snatching the top spot from the Alto is the Dzire, having sold 21,866 units. The Dzire has managed to move two places up since June 2014, when it sold a mere 15,990 units.
