Taking the fifth place is the Maruti Suzuki Celerio, which was the first Maruti product to be introduced with an Automated Manual Transmission (AMT). Also, the Celerio was the first Maruti model to feature a diesel engine developed in-house by the carmaker itself.

The Toyota Corolla may be the carmaker's best selling product in the world, but this is India, and the Innova is the best seller here. The Toyota Innova caters to the need of large families as well as taxi services, which has made the Innova a best selling product in India.

Coming at number two is the Honda Amaze. The compact sedan was specifically designed for India, and featured Honda's i-DTEC diesel engine first, which slowly made its way under the hood of the City, Jazz, and the Mobilio.
