Tesla Hire Ganesh Srivats As North American Sales VP
Tesla has hired former Burberry's senior Vice President,Ganesh Srivats as the company's new Vice President of sales for North America.
Srivats will help make the brand a part of the premium lifestyle experience comparable to the marketing campaigns of luxury carmakers such as Ferrari, and Porsche.
This position Srivats has taken with Tesla has been newly filled and Jerome Guillen, Tesla's former Vice President of global sales and service has been reassigned to take care of delivery and long-term customer care.
Milton Padraza, the Chief Executive Officer of the Luxury Institute says that Srivats brings with him a client-centric approach to doing business to Tesla.
Tesla is planning to launch the Model X SUV late this quarter and is eyeing to sell 55,000 units around the world this year. Also, Tesla doesn't spend on conventional advertising and depends mainly on word-of-mouth and free media.
