Tata Nano Twist To Be Launched With AMT Option Soon
The Nano by Tata Motors has gone through several updates, it has also been tested in several avatars that could boost sales. They have now decided to provide it with an AMT option.
This move comes post witnessing the success its Zest compact sedan with AMT option received. It has been a while since the engineers have been testing the AMT in Nano.
Now the Indian manufacturer plans of introducing Nano with the AMT option by next month. Tata will provide their latest iteration of Nano with exterior and interior updates as well.
Tata Nano Twist AMT option will have the following specifications:
- Engine: 624cc twin cylinder, MPFI
- Horsepower: 37
- Torque: 51 Nm
- Gearbox: 5-speed semi automatic transmission
Tata engineers will be providing the same F-Tronic transmission that is available in their Zest. We believe they have strategically not offered it in the Bolt, so that Nano sales can be pushed with an AMT option.
Design changes on this new model will include a set of new headlights, bumpers, fog lamps, alloy wheels and an openable boot. Interior will get minor changes and will more or less look the same.
In terms of pricing, Tata could ask for an additional INR 50,000 over their top-spec Nano. This new version of their most affordable vehicle will be built at Tata's facility in Sanand, Gujarat.
