Tata Supply 4000 Buses For National Urban Renewal Mission
Tata Motors has received an order for more than 4,000 buses from States Transport Authorities under the second phase of the union government's national urban renewal mission.
The company is already delivering some of these buses, which deliveries will carry on till the next fiscal year. Tata will also be delivering hybrid buses for the first time in the country.
Tata Motors has received orders for 30 hybrid buses from the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation alone.
For Tata Motors, the commercial vehicle sales has dropped 17 percent overall. The company expects to record gain during FY 2016.
Automobile manufacturers say that the sales of commercial vehicles will pick up since replacement cycle in the commercial vehicle market has begun and this will register growth in sales.
