Tata Motors Contemplates Discontinuing Sumo Grande, Indica & Indigo
Tata Motors is one of the popular automobile brands in India. They have recently launched their new products with a new design philosophy that will be adopted by upcoming models.
Sumo Grande, Indica and Indigo were a few products that changed the game for Tata Motors. These vehicles have received timely updates and have been selling in India for a while now.
The Indian manufacturer is now contemplating to discontinue its Sumo Grande, Indica and Indigo. With the introduction of new products old products have to make way for future models.
Expect the manufacturer to offer heavy discounts on all three models to clear their remaining stock. Demand for these vehicles have decreased in recent years, owing to competitors launching more modern and futuristic products.
Faith of Indigo and Indica was sealed when Tata Motors decided to offer them as Taxis. Sumo Grande on the other hand lost its charm as it did not move forward with time. Tata could have taken a few tips from Mahindra and their new-gen Scorpio.
Tata Motors recently launched its Zest and Bolt, which follow their new philosophy. Both products are doing extremely well, especially Zest with its AMT option.
They could also discontinue several other models that fail to deliver required sales. Tata Motors will also be launching a new Nano Twist with an AMT option that will make it more marketable.
