Tata Kite Teaser Sketch Revealed Ahead Of December Reveal
Tata Motors reveal the first teaser sketch of the upcoming Kite hatchback model. The affordable hatchback will be revealed for the very first time in December 2015, which is most likely to be launched in the country by early next year.
Tata's new brand philosophy is ‘Made of Great', which is being used to promote the Kite. The vehicle was featured for a few seconds in a recent video that was used to showcase their latest Global Brand Ambassador, Lionel Messi.
Kite is an affordable hatchback from Tata Motors and will be placed above the Nano and below the Bolt models. In India, the Kite has an exceptional task of competing with the Maruti Suzuki Alto, Hyundai Eon, and Renault Kwid. All these models are priced reasonably in the country and are high volume sellers.
Engine specifications have not been revealed by Tata Motors so far and is expected by December 2015. Tata is most certain to develop a new 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, petrol engine while the diesel engine will be offered in a 1.2-litre, three cylinder configuration.
Tata Motors is using the Indica eV2 as a base for its Kite model; bear in mind ‘Kite' is a codename and production model could receive an all-new nametag. The Kite project will be used to develop a hatchback model and compact sedan for India, as well as international markets.
Interior of the Kite will be heavily inspired from the Bolt and Zest models. Both models follow Tata Motors' new design philosophy and appeal to most customers. Stay tuned for more updates on Tata Kite.
