The company has committed to investing in training programs to make candidates employable by imparting them with right skill set. JCB Jaipur also runs a world class welding training school which implements a detailed 16 week induction program to train the fresh graduates.
"JCB India Limited has been pioneering the concept of imparting skills and has proved that with the correct Industry – Academia interface we can provide the necessary employability to today's youth. "He also emphasized on the importance of the collaborative role that corporates can play in Skilling and thereby contributing to the society."
When operating at full capacity, this factory will employ around 1000 people and a large part of this manpower will be recruited locally from nearby Govt. Polytechnics / ITIs and other Pvt. Polytechnics.
Another dimension to JCB's skilling initiatives are the Operator Training Centres which provide training to youth on how to operate JCB machines safely and productively, these 14 centres across India have successfully trained over 22000 youth till date.
Today, there are already many successful examples within JCB of how the company has been able to change people's lives for the better, one such story being that of Jasu Devi, all of 24 years from the nearby village of Borawar, whose perfection in her work of welding has earned her the name of a Lady Robot. In spite of Jasu's modest background, her quest for excellence and hard work together with the training and opportunities given by JCB has made her dreams come true.
