South-Korean automobile manufacturer Ssangyong currently is owned by Indian automobile giant Mahindra. They offer their Rexton luxury SUV in India and plan to bring more products as well. At the 2015 Detroit Auto Show they showcased their Tivoli, which is expected to reach India as well.
For 2015, Ssangyong has already revealed its refreshed Rexton SUV, which has been launched in Korea. The manufacturer will get this updated model to India as well and replace their older generation model. It gets several changes to both exterior as well as interior of the SUV.
The South-Korean manufacturer provides a redesigned front grille, along with a new Ssangyong logo. Headlights have also been altered for a more modern look and will feature Daytime Running Lights and HID projectors as standard equipment. The SUV will also drive on a new set of alloy wheels, which look trendy and upmarket.
The interior of 2015 Ssangyong Rexton will be spruced up with exclusive leather. Centre console, steering wheels and cabin lights will be redesigned for a more premium feel. It will also be equipped with a smart key, rain sensing wipers, cruise control, audio and navigation system with Bluetooth feature.
Ssangyong will not play with their engine under the hood. They will continue to provide a single diesel engine with two engine tune options. It will be a 2696cc diesel mill producing either 162 bhp and 340 Nm of peak torque or 184 bhp, along with 402 Nm of peak torque. It will be paired to a 5-speed manual AWD or automatic AWD system.
