SEAT Leon SC Cupra 280 Ultimate Sets Record Around Nurburgring
Spanish automobile manufacturer, Seat has launched its Ultimate Sub8 Performance Pack for its Leon S Cupra 280 model. The special performance pack has been priced at an additional cost of 4,200 Pounds or approximately INR 4,00,000.
The option pack offers specifications that are similar to the FWD model that broke the eight-minute barrier at the Nurburgring. Seat will custom build these vehicles to maintain the exclusivity factor.
Seat will offer several performance parts in their performance option pack. These will include Brembo brake callipers, along with optional semi-slick Michelin Sport Cup 2 tyres. The Spanish manufacturer will provide multi-spoke alloy wheels in either black or orange shades.
The Leon SC Cupra 280 will be slightly different from the record-setting car. The production-spec SC Cupra 280 will feature front as well as rear seats for passengers. To keep weight of the hatchback in check, the 280 will feature a simple heater system instead of the regular climate control. It will also not get rear air-conditioner vents, storage boxes under the seat or a centre console.
Standard features include cruise control, rear parking sensors, satellite navigation and tyre pressure monitor. Special additions like Dynamic Chassis Control and Cupra Drive Profile will also be fitted to the vehicle. Owners will have the option to choose from either a 6-speed manual or DSG transmission.
