Rowan Atkinson's Twice Crashed McLaren F1 Sold!
The twice crashed Mclaren F1 owned by Rowan Atkinson has been sold for a whopping USD 12 million. The buyer's identity on the other hand still remains hidden.
This particular model, a 1997 one to be specific was crashed twice, once in 1999 and for the second time in 2011. The 2011 crash cost Mr. Bean 1 million pounds to get the car back in perfect shape.
Owning the car for 17 years, Atkinson has covered 41,000 miles. This particular car is the 67th example out of 107 that were ever made.
The lucky buyer, who has managed to get his hands on the car remains unidentified in terms of nationality and name. The car however, was on sale from the beginning of this year.
Taking a look at the car's power house, it is powered by a 6.1-litre, V12 engine that produces 627 hp. It can reach 100 km/h from a standstill in 3.2 seconds, and can keep going till it reaches a top speed of 387 km/h!
