Rosberg Wins 2015 Spanish Formula One GP Ahead Of Hamilton
Rosberg began his race from pole position in the Spanish GP on Sunday. The German driver made a perfect getaway and maintained his position into the first corner.
Teammate Lewis Hamilton did not make a clean getaway due to too much wheel spin. He dropped a position to Sebastian Vettel and was soon under pressure from Valtteri Bottas.
Scuderia Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen slowly and steadily made up place and was posting lap times faster than his teammate. The ‘Flying Finn' did not seem to trouble frontrunners at all.
It was an unfortunate outing once again for the McLaren Honda duo as Fernando Alonso was forced into retirement. The Spaniard's brake did not function efficiently and during a pit stop he almost hit his crew.
Jenson Button on the other hand did not face similar issues, however, he was not fast enough and ended the race in sixteenth place. The Brit was last in Spanish GP and McLaren was expecting better results.
The first European race of 2015 was won by Nico Rosberg. His teammate Lewis Hamilton was second with Sebastian Vettel in his Ferrari third. Valtteri Bottas and Kimi Raikkonen were fourth and fifth respectively.
