Rolls Royce Cullinan SUV Makes Public Appearance
British super luxury car manufacturer Rolls Royce has made its first public appearance of Cullinan SUV. It is currently in its development stage and this is their first engineering mule.
Rolls Royce was quick to respond by saying this is not the final version of their SUV. This prototype only provides the length of their upcoming model, which will enter luxury SUV market.
This engineering mule will be utilised in testing Rolls Royce all-new suspension system and all-wheel drive transmission. The model is based on their Phantom II model and road testing will begin from April, 2015.
Project Cullinan will primarily focus on the vehicles new suspension behaviour on-road. It will be tested on public roads as well as Belgian Pave, Cobblestones, Corrugated Concrete, Acceleration Bumps and many more.
Rolls Royce is most likely to provide its future SUV model or the Cullinan project with a 6.8-litre V12 engine. Their engineers will tune this engine differently to make it more adaptable for a SUV.
All we can currently assure you is that Rolls Royce will provide its SUV with their hallmarked ‘magic carpet' drive. Engineers will try to achieve this same drive quality on both on-road and off-road terrain.
