Renault Lodgy India Launch Confirmed For 9th April
Renault has confirmed that its first MPV for Indian markets will be launched on 9th of April, 2015. Initially the vehicle will be available with only two engine options.
The French manufacturer is expecting its Lodgy to witness similar success as its compact SUV, the Duster. Just like the Duster, the Lodgy too is a Dacia product and is rebadged and sold in India.
Dealerships across India have commenced bookings of Lodgy for INR 50,000. Renault India is expected to offer its first MPV in India for an irresistible price.
The French manufacturer will provide its Lodgy with a single 1.5-litre diesel mill. This engine will be available in two tune options for customers to choose from. Renault's MPV will be offered in either a 84 bhp or 108 bhp option.
Once launched, the Lodgy will compete against Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Honda Mobilio and Toyota Innova as well. Renault is confident that their MPV will redefine the segment.
Post the launch of Lodgy in India the French manufacturer will focus all of its attention on its all-new small car. Renault is planning on launching an entry level vehicle with a 800cc engine.
