2015 Cannes Festival: Renault Espace Named Official Car

Renault Espace has been named as the official car of the 2015 Cannes Festival. For the first time, actors, directors, producers and VIPs will be driven to the famous red carpet in the new Espace.

For the Festival fortnight, from the 13th to 24th of May, Renault will supply 200 Paris versions of Espace, with golden palm decals to mark the occasion.

The fleet will have six Captur crossovers, four Twingos and 15 Renault Twizys for test drives by the general public.

The Renault Espace has been in production since 1984 and the present model features Renault's R-Link 2 infotainment system, engine stop-start, emergency brake assist, lane departure warning and road-sign recognition with speed limit alerts, 360-degree sensors, reversing camera and a hands-free parking system.

Renault has been an official partner of the Cannes Film Festival for the past 32 years, and this year is no different.

Claude Hugot, the Director of Public Relations of the Renault-Nissan Alliance says, "We wanted to breath new life into the fleet and capitalize on the traffic generated by the 200,000 people from all over the world who visit the Cannes Festival, and on its high media profile to put New Espace under the spotlight."
