Renault Duster Based Pickup Set For Debut On 18th June
Renault had previously showcased its Duster compact SUV in several avatars. Most popular among them was the Oroch concept, which took form as a pickup vehicle.
The French manufacturer will now be showcasing its Duster based pickup in production ready guise. It will make its debut on 18th of June, 2015 at Buenos Aires Motor Show in Argentina.
This pickup will feature a double cabin, along with a flat bed to store goods or other equipment. Renault is calling this model a Sport Utility Pickup and will be entering a new segment all together.
Renault has not confirmed the name of this new vehicle. It is most likely to be called Oroch, however, the manufacturer could choose otherwise and provide a cooler name to its Sport Utility Pickup.
It is most likely to receive only petrol engines, there will be an option between a 1.6-litre and a 2.0-litre engine. Renault is also going to offer optional AWD or RWD to customers based on needs.
The interior will be spacious and will be comfortable for five people. Equipment and features are expected to be similar to the Duster that is currently on sale in several countries.
