Range Rover Sport SVR Driven Round Arctic Silverstone Circuit

By Ajinkya

Land Rover Ambassador and polar explorer, Ben Saunders, took the Range Rover Sport SVR through a unique yet familiar test track near the Arctic Circle. A full-size replica of the Silverstone circuit was created within the frozen lake Udjaur.

Ben Saunders received advice and instructions from Minna Sillankorva of Finland, who is a former Rally Champion. The major challenge was driving on ice with a performance oriented SUV model. Range Rover Sport SVR is by far the fastest and most powerful Land Rover ever built.

Land Rover wanted to showcase their all-new Terrain Response System 2.0. In the Range Rover Sport SVR, this system calibrates vehicle settings based on the terrain. The system can also select 4WD, lockable rear differential, torque vectoring by braking, and can deliver power to either axle automatically.

In this video, you will find the amazing exhaust note of the V8 engine under the SUVs hood. Range Rover Sport SVR can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in a matter of 4.5 seconds. The performance SUV was tested extensively around Nurburgring prior to its launch, now watch how it performs at a frozen Silverstone circuit.
