Recall Alert: Porsche Macan Models Being Recalled
The latest recall news is that of Porsche recalling the Macan S and the Macan Turbo models globally. The number of affected models are 58,881.
The recall is due to a possible fuel leak in the low-pressure fuel line in the engine compartment. Porsche say that the recall is solely for petrol vehicles and is being carried out as a precautionary measure; the leak will be fixed at its authorised workshops.
In India, Porsche sells the Macan in two forms-the Macan S diesel and Macan Turbo. The second model (Macan Turbo) falls under the recall process to fix the faulty low-pressure fuel line.
A 3.6-litre powers the Macan Turbo. The V6 turbocharged petrol engine produces 400bhp and 550Nm of peak torque. Power is sent to all four wheels by an automatic gearbox. The Macan Turbo is priced at Rs. 1.26 crore, on-road (Delhi) approximately. The Porsche Macan Turbo owners in India will be notified by respective dealers regarding the recall.
