The car was limited to just 918 examples and by the end of December 2014, all 918 examples were sold out. The United States has the highest number of the Spyder being bought, 297 units be be specific, and then followed by China and Germany which have around 100 each.
A quick look at the spec sheet, the Porsche 918 Spyder is powered by a 4.6-litre, V8 engine and two electric motors, which put together produce 887 hp. This hybrid engine is mated to a seven-speed PDK transmission, that help the car to reach 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds from standstill.
Porsche is sure to use all this technology in future sports cars manufactured by them. Now, the question is what's next and when?
