Porsche Sells Out Cars That It Hasn't Made Yet!
If you are confused, let me try and explain—rumors have it saying that, Porsche is making a limited edition car, which it would debut next year, but it is sold out!
If that helped, well, the German carmaker is looking to make a special edition 911, that will sport retro looking exteriors, with a manual gearbox.
The car is expected to be based on the 1967 Porsche 911R, and will be called the 911R. It is expected to debut in June 2016, during the 24 Hours of Le Mans or the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The news has been carried over from the Rennsport Reunion that took place in California, and also from a few customers who claim they have placed an order for the car.
The car could be powered by the 3.8-litre flat six engine, or by the 4.0-litre engine, mated to a manual gearbox. Porsche could ditch some luxury features to keep the car as light as possible.
Although the news is not confirmed yet, the company could limit the production of the car to under 800 units. So until further updates, stay tuned.
