Next-Gen Wagon R Coming In 2017 As 5 & 7-Seater Model

Maruti Suzuki this year successfully launched its premium sedan in Indian market. They christened their latest offering as the ‘Ciaz'. It has been an instant hit with buyers and his raked in numerous booking since its launch.

In the beginning of 2014 Maruti Suzuki launched their first hatchback with AMT option. The Celerio has surpassed all records in its first year of existence and is still going strong. Maruti Suzuki has had a positive 2014 and promises to make 2015 a spectacular year.

The Japanese manufacturer is not looking at small goals, it has a bigger picture in its mind. They are working on a project named YCA, it will be manufactured from their Gujarat facility. This vehicle will be developed at the beginning of 2017 and by mid-year will be available.

The YCA project is actually the next-gen Wagon R, which will be introduced in India by mid-2017. It will be offered in two versions a 5-seater and a 7-seater will be available. We believe the Japanese manufacturer has taken inspiration from Datsun's Go and Go+ model for their next-gen Wagon R.

Japanese engineers although have not confirmed the engine options in their next-gen Wagon R. We believe it will be powered by both a petrol as well as a diesel engine. It will most likely feature a manual as well as an AMT option.

Suzuki also plans to introduce more interesting products for 2015 as well. The Japanese manufacturer also plans to bring its SX-4 cross and a premium hatchback model in India. We will be awaiting more information and will provide it as soon as we get it.
