Morgan All Electric Three-Wheeler To Be Showcased At Goodwood

Morgan, the Malvern based sports car manufacturer is all set to showcase an all electric version of it's three-wheeler during the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Nicknamed the EV3, this will be the second electric vehicle to be showcased by Morgan. The first vehicle was the Plus E, which made its debut during the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.

The all electric EV3 which is to go on sale in 2016, will be powered by a single electric motor that will produce 101 bhp and will have a range of 150 miles. It will also be lighter than its crude oil powered counterpart, which weighs 450 kgs.

Morgan says that the "bespoke to order, hand-crafted EV3 will look at the world of zero emissions motoring with an entirely new approach." So, its just a matter of time till the word gets to see it in real life.

A couple of things that will be missed from the standard Morgan are, obviously the V-Twin engine mounted at the front and the exhausts that run along the sides of the car.
