Mitsubishi To Debut Concept XR-PHEV II & L200 At Geneva Motor Show
Japanese automobile manufacturer, Mitsubishi will be present at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The motor show opens to general public on the 5th to 15th march, 2015. They will be bringing a concept vehicle and will also debut a new product.
Mitsubishi will be showcasing their concept XR-PHEV II. It is a compact SUV that uses plug-in hybrid system. The Japanese manufacturer has developed this new vehicle based on their Outlander PHEV, which has witnessed tremendous success in UK.
The Japanese manufacturer will also be debuting its L200 pick-up truck. It will be offered in European markets by mid-2015 and will be present at the Geneva Motor Show. It was earlier launched in Thailand in November, 2014 and is spruced of for international markets.
Mitsubishi L200 will be powered by a 2.4-litre MIVEC diesel engine. It will be offered in a variety of engine tunes and will feature four-wheel drive with Super Select 4WD-II by Shogun. The pick-up truck will also be offered with two-wheel drive system as an option.
The XR-PHEV II has been designed to accommodate a front engine for front-wheel drive vehicles. It also gets an electric motor/generator along with a MIVEC engine. This new system has been developed to improve efficiency and achieve better torque and performance.
This year there will be several manufacturer with new and interesting vehicles to showcase at 2015 Geneva Motor Show. Honda, Toyota, Nissan and several other manufacturers are working on getting futuristic products at this years motor show.
