Mercedes-Benz India Claim Goa Is A Potential Market For Them
Mercedes-Benz India claims that Goa is a potential market for the carmaker in India, since the little state has registered 52 percent growth since January this year.
Nationally too, Mercedes-Benz India has registered 34 percent growth from January this year till date. The German luxury carmaker has delivered 10,079 cars this year.
Roland Folger, the new Chief Executive Officer of Mercedes-Benz India, who took over the position from Eberhard Kern said, "I think what we saw so far is because we also started to promote our five AMG performance centres. The groups of people that are interested in our AMG brand and willing to invest in our product has significantly increased from the past. We are tracking more than 100 units (AMG vehicles) this year which is a very nice positive surprise for us."
Mercedes-Benz came up with a strategy called 15 in ‘15, under which the luxury carmaker wanted to launch 15 products in the Indian market, and to date has launched 13. The upcoming product will be the AMG-GT S, which Mercedes has scheduled to launch on November 24.
