Mercedes-Benz India Order Organizational Changes From 2016
Mercedes-Benz has announced several organizational changes in after-sales and marketing functions from January 1, 2016. Also, the Marketing and CRM, and the Corporate Communications will be split. Everyone will continue reporting to the Managing Director and CEO.
Devdutta Chandavarkar, the Vice President of After Sales and Member of the Board of Management is being promoted. He will be taking up the role of Director of Aftersales at Mercedes-Benz Middle East and Levant in Dubai.
Mercedes-Benz A-Class Facelift Launched In India
The current Vice President of Marketing and CRM, who is also the Member of the Board of Management, Santosh Iyer will also be promoted. Santosh Iyer will Head the After Sales division of Mercedes-Benz India.
Amit Thete, Head of Event Communications will be taking up the role of Marketing and CRM functions. Shekhar Das Chowdhury will now be the Head of Corporate Communications for Mercedes-Benz India. All role changes will be effective from January 1, 2016.
Mercedes-Benz India had a phenomenal year during 2015, as they launched 15 new products. Currently, luxury car segment is dominated by Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz. Out of them, Mercedes-Benz has heavily localized several of their models and is also offering a wide portfolio to Indian buyers.
